Hi,

The one thing missing of the new WYSIWYG editor is that you can't pase plain text (styling removed, if the text was copied from text-editor the text you pasted remove the editor's styles). It would be great if this is somehow worked-out.

Bassta -

This is actually a feature, most times you want to remove all the messy tags text editors will bring in. If you build your sites right, you should be using just h1, h2, h3, h4, P, etc. So a text editors styles will not help you there anyway.

But you are really set on doing things in a text editor, you can try this setting: http://redactorjs.com/docs/settings/#set_cleanUp It cleans up the text imported from word, might also work on other apps. It's on by default, so try turning it off.

PS
I would recommend setting up a block called "Drafts" and using that for composing. This way you can save and make edits without publishing until you are ready.

One other feature that would be useful to have and I am not sure that this is possible would be a search feature for some data.

I have a client that is adding a lot of new consultants with different roles to their website. Statically we can do this with a series of sub-pages, each with a different role. To be able to retrieve profiles dynamically with a drop down list or search function would be a lot neater. Possible?

Andy - I'm sorry I don't see that as something I'd want to add to Pulse. Thanks anyway.

Love what I see of Redactor 8. It looks like a huge UI improvement. Looking forward to the update that brings it to PulsePro.

OK, it looks like I just demonstrated my ignorance by assuming that the default editor was still CKEditor. I haven't visited the site in some time, and failed to read all of the release notes before commenting. All I saw was Mark's comment from the Twitter feed about beginning to try out the newest version of Redactor. Duh! I'm about to give the current version of Pulse a whirl.

Just out of curiosity, is signing up to follow you on Twitter the only way to keep abreast of new releases , aside from checking in on the website? I just signed up as a Twitter follower, so that may be a moot point, but Twitter is not really my home turf.

You can also get updates by following Pulse on Facebook or G+. Yes, redactor is the new editor now. A new version with redactor 8.02 will be coming out soon.
