Troubleshooting
There are two main points that usually solve 90% of tech support issues.
1. Be sure to set the "data" folder permissions to 755 recursively, meaning the folder itself as well as all files and folders within it. Most FTP clients allow you to set this in one pass. Some servers may need 777 if 755 does not work.
2. If you renamed the pulsepro folder name to something else, change it on the settings page. If the pulsepro folder is not in the root, but in a sub-folder, this must also be reflected. For example, if you have yourdomain.com/test/pulsepro, then the folder name in settings must be written as test/pulsepro not just pulsepro.
Quick Install Instructions
To install Pulse Pro, upload the "pulsepro" folder to the root of your domain. Then go to yourdomain/pulsepro and login (Default password is demo). Next, go to the settings tab and change the default password and any other settings you want. That's it, you are ready to go.
Upgrading
- Rename your current Pulse folder to something like Pulsepro-old.
- Upload the new version using the same folder name your old Pulse install used.
- Copy the entire "data" folder from your old installation, to the new one.
- Edit includes/config.php to have the same settings as your old version.
Note: if you modified blog.css, you will need to apply those changes to the new version.
Support Scope
Free technical support is included with each purchase of Pulse Pro. This includes support for installation and basic troubleshooting. Customizations and modifications are not within the scope of support.
